Learnings and Refinements

A FAILED ATTEMPT

Initially the expectation for the app and Horeca as a brand was for it to have a formal, subtle branding.

During the critique sessions, we concluded "the app UI looks a bit flat" making it easy to forget.

REFLECTIONS

Since Horeca is in a budding stage, owner didn't want it to tie down to a brand guideline just yet.
Moreover, we never focused on what we wanted our users to feel after using Horeca.

Solution turned USP

In the inventory management section of our app, I've revolutionized the user experience by implementing a streamlined approach that enhances clarity and efficiency.

Each phase an order progresses through—such as requested, pending, approved, placed, received, verified, unverified, cancelled, verification stage, and defaulted orders—is distinctly color-coded for instant recognition. This strategic use of color enables users to intuitively grasp the status of orders at a glance, eliminating the need for constant mental tracking. With this innovative design, users can effortlessly navigate between phases simply by changing filters, effortlessly accessing order cards of various stages with ease.

By leveraging visual cues, I've significantly optimized the user journey, empowering our users to focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions, ultimately enhancing productivity and user satisfaction.
